Anyone have the manual for the Motorola Tach and or knows how to calibrate it?

Ok Y'all sounds just like yawl but its a TEXAS greeting!
Followed the Weterbeke service bulletin regarding tach calibration and think I have her licked.
Apparently I was doing it all wrong (there a shock) what your supposed to do is bring the engine revs up to 15 to 1800 and then adjust the tach cal screw, did that just now and I can now get her to show about 2600 at max throttle which is much better I guess.
I have come to a conclusion in this whole exercise and that is “the tach is only a best guess type device!”
