Just thought I would inquire if there are any 365 members that are heading to the Bahamas this fall.  I am taking Incommunicado, plan on leaving North Florida (Jacksonville) on or about the first of November.  I was thinking the Bahamas would be a great place to rendezvous this winter.  If your plans are taking you south, let us know.

Thanks, Allen & Michelle

There are two of us on P365 ketchs leaving the Norfolk Virginia around 15 October. This will be the first winter for both of us. Is this your first year or have you done this trip before? How long have you owned the boat?

I plan on making that trip, but in 2 years, from Louisiana to the Bahamas.  Was on the east coast of Fla  2winters ago and was tempted to jump the Gulf Stream then, but Sea Chelles was new to me and I was bringing her home from Amelia Island to Mandeville, La. Hope to read about your trip here.  Can hardly wait until I can make the trip.

Wedelstein, we have done this trip before, on our previous trips we traveled the ICW. The plan this time is to depart from the St. Johns River head south offshore to West Palm.I think we purchased Incommunicado in 1987. Feel free to contact me by E-Mail or phone. Thanks for the reply Allen

I'm contemplating heading out from Baltimore in late October.  No real agenda except to get south to warm water and good diving.  Having never made the trip before, I would love to hook up with others heading that way.

My girlfriend and I are leaving from Long Island Sound next week.  We have owned the boat for one year.  This will be our first trip south and we plan on taking the ICW.

Thanks Allen, we'll give you a ring when we get down your way.

Chad, I'll be heading down the ICW (and a bit outside too) from the upper chesapeake starting in late October.  I don't know your schedule, but if you will be near Baltimore between October 3 and the 26th give me a call.  Would love to meet you and your girlfriend and we have a car you can borrow for errands groceries etc.  Scott

No problem!  We can also give you tips on the jump from Sandy Hook to the C&D Canal if you want.

Just wanted to see where everyone made it.  We are currently in Savannah and planning to be crossing into the Bahamas around New Years.

My wife and I spend 5 or 6 weeks cruising our P36 Cutter in the Bahamas every summer - mostly the Exumas. We can certainly answer questions regarding cruising in South Florida (we live in Fort Lauderdale) or the passage from here to the Bahamas. This past summer, we cruised from Fort Lauderdale to Georgetown, Long Island and Conception. Feel free to email me directly at brianc629@bellsouth.net. Or, I check this site frequently.

Hi All,
Between the weather, the cat, and only six weeks left on our cruise this year we decided to head for the Keys instead.  We're glad we made the decision, becuase it seems like it's been week since a decent weather window opened.  We're sitting in Key West for New Years and are going to head to the Dry Tortugas for a week or so.  If anyone is around feel free to call us.

It turns out we made a good decision, as it blew from the north for 4 weeks.  Unfortunately, the Keys and the Tortugas were a bit chilly (we were in Key West for the second coldest day in its history).  Because I'm a glutten for punishment....anyone know how the weather was in the Bahamas for the last month?
